About Us

Hop is a leading shared mobility platform in Eastern Europe, launched in December 2019 in Turkey with its electric scooter sharing service. We have a big role in the everyday life of commuters, currently in 20+ major cities in the region. We are obsessed with customers' needs in every sense, which rewards us with tens of thousands of daily rides. Within the next few years, we will expand our coverage into different cities/countries and diversify the types of electric vehicles to achieve our shared mobility vision for the cities of our future.

In order to reach this exciting future, we want to strengthen our team with new teammates who will take responsibility for developing and directing the company’s analytical, financial plans and policies, while we change the rules of mobility.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all sides of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll and tax preparation,
• Monthly balance sheet and P&L fluctuation analysis,
• Prepare timely and accurate analyses, summaries and reports of financial data on the operating progress of the company (month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing in accordance with IFRS and local law),
• To be able to carry out budget related detailed studies on an annual basis,
• Maintaining continuous relations with banks, leasing and other financial institutions,
• To follow the financial situation and performance of the company to identify areas of financial improvement,
• Managing corporate accounting and financial processes in accordance with the necessary legislation,
• Manage daily financial operations such as payroll and invoicing within the company,
• Supervising finance team, including financial assistants and accountants.

Qualifications

• Have at least 15+ years of experience in domain, ideally in a fast-pace organization,
• Proven work experience as senior accounting and finance management roles,
• University graduate, preferably with a master's degree in economics, accounting, finance or similar fields,
• CPA certified,
• Strong management and leadership skills,
• Strong conceptual thinking, you enjoy researching and developing new concepts from scratch. Experience working in agile methodologies is a plus,
• Ability to stay calm and make effective decisions in stressful situations,
• To have competent knowledge of legal regulations,
• Open to development, sharing and prone to teamwork,
• To be successful in people relations,
• Strong stakeholder management skills that allow you to work across all levels of the organization,
• Eager to challenge the status quo and dive into new topics,
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, continuously growing and changing organization,
• Adopt behaviors and attitudes in accordance with corporate policies,
• Able to work in Ankara, have no travel barriers so that he/she can be assigned to our work areas in different locations when necessary,
• Fluent English, additional language is a plus.
